Happy Fourth of July!

Today, quite out of the ordinary, the temperature was only 68 degrees with a steady stream of rain, so what did we do this dreary 4th of July? We played in the rain at Grandma's house. I have said this before, but my kids are so lucky to have a Grandma that will put boots and them and play in the rain with them.
Kate wanted her own umbrella of course.

Splish, splish, splash!
Even Mommy got in on the action

After having fun in the backyard, we decided to float our duckies down the "river" on the ride of the road.
Go!
The girls didn't exactly understand the point of the game, because they wouldn't leave the ducks alone.
Soaked to the bone and LOVING it!
She obviously was not ready for her close up with the food on her face.
Snatching all the duckies .

Back inside, drying up! What a great way to celebrate the Independence of our nation. I am so happy my girls will have so many wonderful memories with my family, it just can't get any better than this!

Becca,

What a fun post! How fun is it to play in the rain! I remember doing that as a kid...now the thought of letting my kids do that only brings to mind the messes they would make trampsing in and out of the house. Ugh! Maybe the next time it rains, I'll break down and let 'em run free to get soaked through!
