Almost Christmas

We are getting excited for Christmas at the Heckert House! We have been wrapping presents and putting them under the tree all week. The girls have been counting down the days until their cousins and aunts and uncles come.
I love when the girls cuddle with their toys. Here they are watching a movie at grandma's.
Looks like Mommy was the only one ready for this shot!

Two weeks old!

Elise is now two weeks old! That was the fastest two weeks I have ever experienced! Before church last sunday, we decided to do a photo shoot with the girls. They were very cooperative.

Yesterday Santa Clause can to the library to read books and surprise surprise, my children actually sat on his lap! It was fun to watch them sing with and listen to Santa.

Beautiful Baby Elise!!!

These pictures uploaded crazy out of order, but this is my first meeting with baby #3! What a joyful moment!
Last bump shot for pregnancy number three!
Daddy and daughter
Kate meeting Elise for the first time!
Lily's turn
Eyes open!
We are excited to have her here with us, and really excited to have a name for our precious Christmas present. Even though my mom had warned me that third labors are always different, this one was pretty much the same as the other two: quick and uneventful, which is great but makes for a pretty boring story! But here is the breakdown
1:45 pm arrive at Hospital
2:15 pm start Pitocin
5:30 pm ask for an Epidural (sorry have to wait until a C-section is done)
Slight panic as I wait for my Doctor to come and break my water, I definitely wanted the pain meds before that happened and the Dr. was due any minute!
6:30 pm Celebration! Epidural given and Dr. arrive at the same time!
6:45 pm water broken
8:24 pm baby is born!!!
And that is how we do it at the Heckert house. Thank you Mom, so much, for short labors.
