Hello April

Kate reading to Elise Lily being herself!
Today we had some visitors! These cute little ducks came to our yard to play, and promptly ran away as soon as I ran to get the camera. Kids and animals are not very cooperative with camera time!

Good bye March

In just a few short days Elise will turn 4 months. She is growing up too fast, as are Kate and Lily. She is starting to roll from tummy to back, and is sleeping a little better now that we have moved her to another room. Elise is also so patient with her older sisters. I am constantly turning around to find Kate or Lily picking Elise up, walking with her in their arms, trying to read to her. It is a bit unsettling for me, but so far we have had no accidents. I want to nuture my kids' maternal instincts, so we have been practicing holding her and carrying Elise gently. Hopefully that stops any dropping in the future. "Camping" in the living room.
Going to "Princesses on Ice."

Happy girl!

Spring is upon us!!!!!

Yesterday dawned warm and sunny,so the girls and went outside to tackle our bushes. For the past three years I have put off any real yard work, but no more. We are going to have a pretty yard this year!!!!
Not so sure about all this!

Little Cinderkate.

Being Mommy's helper

My snuggle buddies.
When Elise turned 3 months, we stopped putting her in the swing to sleep, and it has been a tough adjustment. Where she was sleeping 8 hours straight, now it is not more than 4. So, she now gets into bed with me after her first night feeding and stays there the rest of the night. Its not so bad, but hopefully we can adjust soon.

Pictures to brighten (another) rainy day

Caught some more smiles from our little bug!

Lily crawled into bed with me while I was nursing Elise, and when i got up, she scooted over so she could be closer to the baby. I love how much my girlies love each other.
At the prospect of another morning of combing, Kate decided she wanted a haircut, so I cut her hair. She is about as cute as can be!
Things are going great here in the Heckert house.
Drew is working hard at all of his callings:
husband, dad, owner of ebash, Elders' Quorum president, and Edward Jones advisor.
In short, he is a very busy man!!!
I have been looking into preschools for Kate (sniff, sniff),
and the girls are growing up like crazy!

Another week flies by!

Drew was away in St. Louis for the week, so the girls, Grandma, Alisha, Emily, and I went on a road trip to Indianapolis for shoping and a trip to the Children's Museum. The best part was the the museum is free the first Thursday of the month!

Checking out the dinosaur exhibit. Kate and Lily were fascinated that the dinos "roared!"
Trying our hand at fashion design
