Sugar and Spice and Everything nice

At the end of November, I tortured the girls by dressing them up and making them take pictures in hopes of getting a cute Christmas picture. They were great. I love being a mommy.

We are getting ready for the Grand Opening. Today I heard our commercial on the radio, which was really exciting. The girls love coming to visit "daddy's store," they run around like crazy. They also like to bang on the rock band drums, talk about cute.

Happy Thanksgiving

We did it! Drew opened his store today for some beta testing, and it was a blast. He officially opens Dec 6 with a huge Super Smash Brothers tournament. It has been amazing to see Drew make his dream of owning his own business come true. I am so grateful for his heard work and dedication to this project, he is a great husband and father. Go Drew!!!

Doctor's appointment

Lily had her 15 month appointment today. She had a growth spurt in the last three months; she is 26 lbs and 32 in. Thats my girl, long and strong! The nurse was nice enough to measure Kate to appease my curiosity. She is 38 lbs and 40 inches; that is a 4 lbs and 2 and 1/2 inches growth since June, when is that girl going to stop? :)

Fun in November

We're ready for our close-ups!

That's the face I was making trying to get them both to smile at the same time.

Lily's answer to Where is your nose?

Sisterly love

Matching Cheesy grins

"Mama" Heckert sent the girls matching outfits. As soon as we opened the box, Kate insisted she put it on because it had Pug on it. Pug is Mama Heckert's dog.

Thank you Mama Heckert!

As usual, there is nothing for me to add:)

Bienvenidos Dora y Boots!

Dora, Dora, Dora the explorer! Plus sidekick Boots.
Playing bingo at the ward Halloween Party. (I was checking to make sure no one was watching before I started sneaking the candy.)

Painting pumpkins with Grandma

It was 70 degrees today, so we played outside before starting our trick or treating.

My climber
Believe it or not, this is the best picture I got of the two of them together. Its hard when both of them are on the go!

Moving Crew for Hire

Last week we bought new couches for our living room, so we decided to move our old couch downstairs. Within a very short time, the couch was wedged so tight in the hallway it wasn't going anywhere.
Innovation took over when shoving stopped working.

Still not moving
Finally

Well, we did get it downstairs, that's the main thing, right? (after taking off the door, breaking the shower rod, busting a hole in our wall, scratching paint, and destroying our couch.)

Fall is here.

I think this picture speaks for itself!
The joy of sharing (of course, its always more fun to share someone else's food than your own.)

Lily walked up and down the side of the car for several minutes because she liked the sound of the leaves.

Its a boy!

Well, we finally added a boy to our family!
No, its not what you think!
Two weeks ago we went a bought a puppy!!!
We went to Petsmart to let the girls look at the dogs and this little guy captured our hearts.
The girls are crazy about him and he is a pretty good puppy.
We named him Copper.

We have been working on housetraining him ( I just wish the girls were as easy: just throw them outside and let them figure the rest out!!!) And soon we hope to teach him new tricks.
The girls still love to read books. They will sit forever just turning pages while Kate narrates.
Kate after she figured out how to open my mascara!
Cheese!

Back online

It has been a while since our last post-first we lost the camera, and then this weekend we lost power thanks to some crazy winds out here from Ike. We spent a couple of nights at Grandma and Grandpa's and this morning we found our power back on. Thank goodness.

This was supposed to be a video of Lily playing peek a boo, but it turned into one of her walking.

Update on Alisha.

Alisha had her surgery last friday and has started the road to recovery. For those who don't know, Alisha found out she had compartment's syndrome a couple weeks ago and had to have surgery to correct the problem. She is healing well and should be getting back into running in about three weeks. She has to keep ice on her legs, the big blue things just hold the ice on. She went to school today in a wheelchair and gets to ride the elevator for the next few weeks!
