Sea World, Legoland, and dinner on the beach

Voted the family favorite, Seaworld proved to be awesome!
The shows were amazing, and the weather was overcast and pretty cool, perfect for watching all the fun!

 Too cool
Unfortunately, the weather did not stay nice for our trip to Legoland. It was so so hot! We only stayed for a couple of hours because Mommy was done with baking in the sun as we waited in line.

Our farewell dinner was on the beach, and was just perfect. The weather was much cooler in the evening and there was a band.
I think our trip was a huge success. I can't wait to see where we will go next year!

San Diego Zoo

The thing I was most excited to see in San Diego was the zoo, and it did not disappoint. There were so many animals, some I had never seen in person before. It was a great experience for everyone.

The pandas were so popular that we had to wait almost an hour to see them,
but it was totally worth it.

Drew wants one of these red pandas for a pet, they were pretty cute.

San Diego

Last weekend we took a family vacation to San Diego CA!
The girls were so excited to fly on a plane and explore a new place.
Our first stop was the San Diego Temple. Simply beautiful.
Then we hit the beach. It amazes me how much our girls love the water.
We stay on a little island called Coronado, at a hundred-year-old hotel called the Hotel Del Coronado.

 The hotel...pretty snazzy.

On our first morning we headed back to the beach.
Elise loved to stand and wait for the waves to get her; she would laugh and run away.

Lily would have stayed all day.

Andrew is HOME!

My little brother Andrew has spent the last 2 years in Northern California on a mission for our church, and on June 25 he finally came home!

It is good to have Andrew back, and we are so proud of him for the hard work and dedication he has shown during his mission.

Indianapolis

This year, Drew had his Edward Jones regional meeting in Indy, giving us a fun filled weekend at our state capitol. We were able to visit Drew's Aunt Noel while we were there.
We also trekked the Indy Zoo, which probably would have been 100 times more fun if it wasn't so hot. Still, it was neat to see all the animals.
 Trying to pet a shark

Baby elephant...can we take one home?

At the Indian's game, what fun!
Exploring downtown Indianapolis while Daddy is in meeting.

A visit with Alisha

For her birthday, Mom, Jonny, the girls, and I went to see Alisha at Purdue. While in West Lafayette, we went to see the local zoo.
There was a wallaby exhibit with no fences where we got up close with these cute creatures.
 baby wallaby!

 checking out the otters

 A petting zoo!
 And a butterfly garden

Right next to the zoo is this amazing park with some of the best play equipment I have ever seen. I cannot wait to visit Alisha again!
