The Mud Run

Today I ran in a local 4 mile race called the Mud Run. The purpose of said race? "get dirty."
 My pre-race warm up.
 The start.

Drew captured some great moments during the obstacle course.

At this moment I was rethinking the whole get dirty thing...too late!

Finished! I ran with a Kip Pace from church and his brother in law. We had a great time and are looking forward to our next race. It was so much fun to have Drew and the girls there, I loved hearing them cheer for me!

My baby is 7!

I don't know how it happened, but 7 years have passed since I brought home my first bundle of joy!

Kate loved all her presents and was a real trooper when we had to
go to Aunt Wanda's funeral on her big day.

Kate is a sweet, smart, and loving girl and I am so happy she is part of our family!

The end of school

The end of school means one thing for us: Field Day!
Elise and I went to school to cheer on the girls as they raced and played.
Above is Lily's class, they were so cute and I really loved her teacher, we will miss you Mrs. Galvin!
Tug of War. The best part of this event was when the children asked us what "tug" meant, it took a little while, but they finally caught on!
A water game where the kids had to carry water in buckets with holes in them,
they were soaked by the end!
 Pizza box relay
 lily with her friend Alex
Kate at the tug of war, they had trouble staying on their feet in the wet grass.
Kate's class. I really liked her teacher also, thanks Mr. Moreland!
 Sack race
 Water game, Kate's class won!

The last day of school pictures. What cuties! I am so excited to have the girls home for the summer!

The secret's out!

I knew I couldn't hide it forever...we adopted another dog.
I will not bore anyone with the details of our dog history, but here we go again!
Our puppy's name is Daffodil and she is 5 months old and has been with us for 2 months, which is a record for us. She can do lots of tricks and the girls love her to pieces.
