What we Kuhlenhoelters do for fun: Pictures!
My mom takes advantage of every opportunity to take a family picture! This year is the largest year yet with 15 people needing to squeeze into the picture. Here are a few of our fun ones.
I think we took a million pictures of Papa and Mama with the Grandkids, too bad this was at the end of the "photo shoot," and the babies wanted nothing to do with it. Lily's face says it all.
Tired Babies
But five minutes later, full of energy!
Poor Meggie, she just wanted to play with Emily's phone, but we were forcing her to sit and smile for the camera. Very tramatic.
As our luck would have it, in over one hundred pictures, there is only one really great picture, and my husband is putting up bunny ears. *Sigh* Does he not realize how difficult it is to have 15 pairs of eyes open, 15 mouths smiling, and THREE babies not crying?

A week of firsts.
Lily's first sucker. We went to the bank and the teller there gave me two safety pops, so I thought, why not? How easily I forget. Lily sucked on it like a champ, but the whole way to the car she had a river of spit running down her arm, on my leg and onto the pavement. I let her have it long enough to take pictures and then threw it away.
Did I mention how bad my memory was? Later that same day, I decided it would be cute to see if Lily would fed herself some spaghetti. I couldn't believe the mess it made, and then I remembered that Kate was almost 15 months before she could feed herself and actually get the majority of the food in.
My baby is growing up way too fast, here she is for the first time pulling herself up in a standing position. One of the local grocery stores has carts with a car on the end. So even though I only needed to return a video, we spent 20 minutes walking around the store.
Rock on!!! Kate is forever saying "my turn" when we bust out the guitar hero. She just sits there and strums, it is the cutest thing ever.

Why do they call it mini?
On saturday Drew and I ran the Indianapolis 500 Mini-marathon, and all I have to say is the only thing mini about 13.1 miles is the length of the shorts 90% of the people were wearing. I mean, come on people, there should be a law against shorts that short. We had a great time, we ran the first 7.5 miles, walked the next 3, and suffered through the last 2.5 miles. Overall it was incredible we even finished it considering I hadn't ran a mile since October 2006. Also, my "I just had a baby" shirt fell through so I couldn't rely on that for pity. We finished in about 2 hours and 55 minutes: Rock on runners!
